Learning how to solve a “Rubik’s cube”

The “Rubik’s cube” has been something I have been interested in for a long time. I always thought that I would never be able to do it, because the first few times I tried it was too hard for me.

I didn’t play the Rubik’s for a while, until this year when my Dada started to teach me. He taught me some algorithms. At first, it was pretty tricky. I kept turning the wrong turns and confusing myself by not focusing. But when I kept practicing and persisted I started getting better and better, until I could solve the cube on my own.

When I first saw the Rubik’s cube I thought ” Okay this is gonna be quick and easy.” but back then I had no idea that the Rubik’s cube was a lot more complicated than I thought. When I was trying to learn the algorithms I thought that I would never know how to solve the Rubik’s. But I learned to never give up. You always have to know that when you try something new you aren’t the best at it yet — so, just keep trying.

📚My BOOKS📚

I love reading because it can expand your view of the world. And see things more creatively.

There are a lot of books that I love. It would be impossible to choose one favorite, because there are so many choices and so many worlds to travel to — I mean that metaphorically.

Here are my top 10 favorite books and collections:

10. Sherlock Holmes: The Sussex Vampire

9. Geronimo Stilton: The Hour Of Magic

8. Geronimo Stilton: The Mysterious Cheese Thief

7. Disaster Diaries: ZOMBIES!

6. Lulu Sinagtala And The City Of Noble Warriors

5. Horrible Histories and Science

4. The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh

3. REVENGE OF THE STAR SURVIVORS

2. Roald Dahl: Collection

  1. “How To Train Your Dragon” Book Series

I like fantasy, mystery, sci-fi and some non-fiction written creatively.

“READING is your IMAGINATION’s friend”.

I joined the “Page Turners Club” in my homeschool (Victorious Homeschool) because of my love of reading. I hope you can check out some of the books I featured in this post.

The Bulul

The Bulul, is a Filipino artifact that was used by the farmers of the village. Historic documents say that the Bulul was a Filipino rice god and if the farmers did certain chants and rituals the Bulul would give a great harvest. Some Bulul were put in museums and some became souvenirs for tourists. I learned about the Bulul in the book, “A Lolong Time Ago” by “Halo-Halo Histories”, it is a great book I recommend it.

“I made a Bulul myself out of clay and I realized, I forgot to give him ears, oh well”

This is my Bulul made out of clay, yes I did not make ears for him. It was very fun making him. My Bulul was made for the art subject. I used air-dry clay, a plastic bottle for structure and a plastic container for the bowl. The reason I made this guy was for a late Buwan Ng Wika project and for fun and art.

This is a fun project that you can try yourself. I recycled stuff made out of plastic for the Bulul to have structure. The Bululs I saw on the internet had their eyes in a squinting way most of the time. So I recreated that with diagonal line eyes, the nose gave me some problems but then I had the idea of sculpting the nose from the face. I made the Bulul smooth by rubbing the sides with a wet pencil. Don’t forget to have a place mat so the clay won’t touch the the table.
